Join Emmy award winning sound engineer Steve Bucino for a 2 hour walk through of best practices and techniques to ensure you sound your best from your home set up. Taking place Sunday, August 2nd from 10am-12pm Pacific time. *This is your chance to ask any all all sound/home booth/recording questions you may have!

Steve Bucino is an Emmy award winning supervising sound editor and re-recording mixer. His career has spanned all genres from commercials, animation, live action, and video games. Steve would like to welcome everyone to this 2 hours class with the intention of demystifying and relieving the anxiety around recording at home.

In this class you will:

  • Learn basic principles of acoustics with a focus on making your available space sound great

  • Understand the difference and similarities between various recording gear (preamp, interface, USB mic, XLR Mic, etc)

  • Understanding gain structure in recording to find the perfect level and be able to manage dynamic within an audition or read

  • Discuss concept and technique around basic editing for auditions

  • Participate in a Q&A with audio engineer Steve Bucino

  • Connect with students all over the world!

This is a virtual class for ALL AGES. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. You must use the camera on feature in Zoom during class. This class is for actors of all levels. Purchases are non refundable and class credit is not offered if you do not attend. Class will be Sunday, January 19th from 10-12pm Pacific Time. Class will be taught over Zoom. You do not need a professional microphone to take this class. We recommend that you download the Zoom application before joining.
